Tencent Games No Longer Authorised PUBG Mobile Franchise In India

A ray of hope came out for the Indian players regarding the ban on PUBG Mobile: Nordic Map and PUBG Mobile Lite. PUBG Corporation has released the official statement regarding the ban by the government of India which was issued on 2nd September 2020. PUBG Corporation is working out with the Indian Government to find a solution on this ban, they also thanked the Community for their passion and enthusiasm.

According to the official announcement, “PUBG Corporation has made the decision to no longer authorize the PUBG MOBILE franchise to Tencent Games in India. Moving forward, PUBG Corporation will take on all publishing responsibilities within the country. As the company explores ways to provide its own PUBG experience for India in the near future, it is committed to doing so by sustaining a localized and healthy gameplay environment for its fans.”



PUBG Corporation also said they are respecting the measures taken by the Indian Government due to privacy and security of player data. Players data and privacy is the top priority of the company.

PUBG MOBILE is the mobile version of PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS (PUBG) which is owned and developed by PUBG Corporation, a South Korean gaming company. PUBG Corporation is actively working in development and publishing PUBG on multiple platforms which includes PC, Mobile, PlayStation.
